* Bachelor’s degree
* CA Single-Subject credential in Art or Music or Theater; OR verifiable subject-matter competency (e.g., a degree in one of the above fields, passage of the CSET or at least 20 units in relevant coursework). If not currently credentialed, teachers must be NCLB (No Child Left Behind) compliant by the end of the first school year (June 2010).
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must.
* Passionate about improving public education to help all children reach their dreams.
* A strong ethical base and self awareness.
